Biography

Dr. Punnya Hosahallidoddi Shankaralingaiah, MBBS, is a medical graduate from Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru, India. She is preparing to pursue a Neurology residency and a career as a physician-scientist in the United States. Her research interests include cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, nutritional neurology, understanding the mechanisms underlying neurological disability and developing research- driven approaches to reduce its impact, and the advancement of artificial intelligence and innovative diagnostic technologies in neurology. She has presented her research at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting and has contributed to neuro-oncology research presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress. She gained clinical exposure through neurology electives in the United States, strengthening her interest in academic neurology and clinical neuroscience. She also organized community outreach programs promoting Alzheimer's disease awareness in old-age homes and behavioral health education in schools. At the Neurology World Conference, she is presenting “Beyond the Usual Suspects: A Rare Cause of Stroke,” highlighting an uncommon stroke etiology with distinctive neuroimaging findings.
