Alleyar Ali is a PhD candidate in Clinical Medicine / Neurosurgery at the Medical School of Nanjing University (a member of China's elite C9 League), based clinically at the Department of Neurosurgery, Jinling Hospital, under the supervision of Prof. Chiyuan Ma. He earned his Master of Medicine in Neurosurgery (with distinction) and his five-year MD from Nanjing Medical University. His research integrates 3D bioengineering, deep-learning live-cell tracking, pharmaco- transcriptomics, and orthotopic in vivo pharmacology to dissect glioblastoma mechanobiology, with a particular focus on how chemotherapy-induced extracellular matrix remodelling constructs a physical "matrix fortress" that drives temozolomide resistance and excludes immune cells. He is the first author of a publication in World Neurosurgery (2025), a co-inventor of a granted Chinese national invention patent for an endoscopic neurosurgical device, and was named Outstanding Postgraduate of Nanjing University, 2025.
